Structural health monitoring is a complex process and measuring individual parameters in isolation gives very limited information. AVT's strength is that we can apply a range of sensors and instrumentation to a structure to obtain a clear picture of what is happening under actual loading conditions. We have developed techniques to collect large amounts of relevant data and then analyse and prioritise the information so that it can be presented in a clear and concise way to the client.
We recognise that taking measurements within nuclear environments can be restrictive. Our pragmatic approach means we can use standard sensors together with bespoke accessories and instrumentation such as special mounting arrangements, wireless remote monitopring, high speed dataloggers and modems to ensure optimum data collection for any particular application.
