AVT have extensive experience in measuring ground borne vibration. Normal methods of data analysis can be complex and very time consuming, especially during long term projects. To overcome this we have developed proprietary software for analysing the vibration data and presenting results in line with relevant standards (BS7385, 5228 and 6472). 

In typical applications, ground vibration may be of a short term, intermittent or permanent nature depending on the source. Short term vibration may be caused by construction activities such a spile driving, blasting or concrete breaking, whilst intermittent vibration is charteristic of passing trains, vehicles or aircraft. Permanent vibration may be caused by plant and rotating machinery such as large pumps, generators and motors.
